We're finally launching on Steam early access on the 18th of April. There will be a 10% launch discount for the first week on Steam, so hold off till then (especially if you're from a country with favourable Steam exchange rates). And yes, if you buy it here or have already bought it here you will receive a Steam key. It amuses me how often that question is asked when it the second sentence on the store page here (and in bold!) :)
The 0.5 update (biomes, temperature, and more!) will be out at the same time too.
It has been a great year of development on itch.io, and I'm sad that itch.io isn't more popular, but the reality of the situation is Steam is the only way to go these days. In just two days of the Steam store page being up it has received more visits from within Steam than the entire year of itch.io with all my attempts at marketing the game and youtuber coverage.

How does one get a steam key after purchasing game on Itch.io?
